Drain Net is helping “Trap Fat” in area “Can the Grease” Campaigns.

Branchburg, NJ – PEP, one of the plastics industries larger producers of custom plastic products, has been contacted by several Waster Water Utility Companies who are interested in utilizing the “Fat Trapper”. According to several managers from various Township Authorities, they are being mandated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, and their local Department of Environmental Protection Agency to put programs into place to help remove fats, oils and grease from the wastewater collection systems

Several townships have started purchasing the Fat Trapper from PEP and will be dispersing these to the area residents along with educating them on how to properly dispose of unwanted cooking grease, fats and oils. The Fat Trapper is an airtight canister with foil lined disposable bags. Unwanted cooking grease is poured directly into the foil lined bags, and sealed to eliminate spillage and odor leakage. When the foil lined bag is full, it is discarded, and a new bag is inserted into the Fat Trapper. The eliminates the grease being poured down the drain, which can result in costly plumbing bills and build up in the wastewater collection systems, and treatment plants.
